Saturday was Pa's mentored youth day, so I took my son, not quite 3. These were stocked, so easy fishing. Kept him out an hr, then we quit because I wanted to quit while he was still having fun! I want him to learn to enjoy fishing as I do! We caught 14 in that hr, and we kept these 2. (They are allowed to keep 2. ) The beautiful golden rainbow was 19 1/2 inches and 3 lbs, 2 oz. I am planning on getting a replica mount made! And before I get flamed for keeping fish, this was stocked in a park where the water gets pretty warm in the summer. Game commission doesn't plan on them surviving the summer. Plus we made them and ate them, teaching him the " water/field to table" concept. He had plenty of fun, and so did I!!

Yes. Always best to assure success for the really young ones. Hope they clean up the fins etc on the replica. Those hatchery fish are pretty rough looking customers.
