We are planning to be in the 1000 Islands area for a week, and I wondered if anyone could recommend a nice family lodge/cabin/camping getaway.

Pristine water, quiet surrounding, canoing and good fishing are a must.

There are some camp sites on Wolf Island. Lots of good Muskie fishing in the area. You may want to book a guide for the day to get the lay of the land.
