We're roughing it again this year out on the ice.



That's our rig on the left, my oldest boy's old pickup, one of his buddy's pickups and the portable houses on the right belong to my buy and his buddy.

It was a pretty awesome weekend.

We scored some nice sauger too, this was an 18" sauger



that's kind of reaching top of the scale for Sauger, lol.

Awesome. I caught my first walleye through the ice last week while on vacation in SD. We caught about 12 but they were all little fellas, still had a blast.

Almost asked myself why the hell your boy had a popup shanty out there when you had the ice castle 30 feet away. Then I noticed the little vixen poking her head out the door and understood immediately. .

I'm cleaning up paint guns out in the hot rod shop. Going to grab a shower, pack some clothes, groceries, check out the best situation, possibly a stop at a beer store and we are off to the lake to ring in the new year.

I did not see the French maid, nor the candelabra Dave.

I'm in that general area, pulled the house closer to shore because of the storm we are supposed to get, but we are still on the west side.

You missed the storm? We got clobbered - 6" of snow and lots of wind. We are near Squaw lake - do you drive through there on your way to and fro the lake?

Great video! and a nice sized dog for the fish house. My lab wants to go, but he also likes to check out each fish, and his tail often destroys any order to the house. And when he finally lays down, he takes up half the house!

I suppose we got about 8" in the yard at home here but that ain't so bad. I heard the lake (lake of the woods) blew clean in the area we generally fish. So really no big deal. Its cold though, we had -30 this morning.

We go through Roseau and warroad on our way to the lake, we're pretty close.

You must be out on the prairie. It was bad enough here in the woods. Most of the snow blew off our lake too. We had drilled enough holes in the area we fish that they formed drifts. We've got some 2 footers, not big by your standards, but hard on a 4-wheeler!
