The clamp on bracket I have now will not adjust far enough to the right side,( starboard?), were the driver sits. To attach to the aluminum seat top with just metal screws does not look sturdy to me. Toggle bolts like they use on drywall?

Other ideas?

No pictures, the boat is in NW Ontario, and I'm not. The seats are aluminum with the foam inside. Standard bench style.

I assume that you are attaching to a bench seat?
There is a rail that mounts and a bracket that slides in and slides along the length of the bracket/seat its aluminum
If I remember Wise makes them and they work pretty well

Goon, check in w/Covert Marine. They'll have a good assortment of seat stuff. powdr
