I just upgraded my rods and most are one piece 6 to 8 foot rods

I will throw rods in back of boat while towing. Want to avoid broken tips etc

Thinking rod socks and a few rod carriers to minimize breakage risk

I put rod holders so I can just stand them up while traveling from spot to spot to avoid putting them on the floor of the boat or in the storage compartment.
I also use rod gloves while in the storage compartment.

Hard tubes. On and off planes all summer and using St. Croix rods I want them unharmed. Pulling reels is just part of the deal.

I’ve got maybe 20 rods on board, all in rod socks in two rod lockers. I don’t even pull the sock out, I just remove the rod from the sock and leave the sock in the locker. I get almost zero tangles, aside from the odd treble hook getting into a sock. I can’t imagine the mess without the socks.

I went with rod socks and bait protectors. Thanks
