Anyone ever use one of the trigger guards sold by Gun Parts Corp/Numrich for about $100? Thinking about one for an FN someday.

I'd avoid them like the plague. The ones that I've seen were poorly fitted.

Not surprising. Thanks.

I've one that makes a mediocre paper weight.

They are poorly cast junk. I bought one that had the hole to hole distance off. Avoid them.

The last two that were sent to me for fitting were both bent. The rear tang was bent toward the receiver. Definitely nicer units to be had.

I'm not fond of the push button type on the Zastava rifles, but their fit and finish is good.
I'd use them if nothing else were available and I had a limited budget.

It would seem we have a consensus. Thanks, all.

Last one I tried flopped open under recoil about every 3rd shot or so. Fit and finish were pretty sketchy. I went back to milsurp.

Think I'll continue to slum the slide-offs, unless I stumble upon something decent. Better off spending a few bucks on a trigger or two anyway.

Of the hundred or so Mauser's I own, only a handful have hinged bottom metal.
