Just picked up a sweet browning supeposed in 12 gs
It apears to be 1973 production if I looked up the numbers correctly
My question is how to remove the forend most guns I have seen on tent have a screw that removed from the side this one doesn’t. I can unlatch it and pull forward but that it won’t come the rest of the way

Are you trying to remove the forearm wood from the iron or trying to remove the forearm/barrel assembly from the gun ?

To remove the forearm/barrel assembly from the action you just open the latch slide the forearm forward then break open the gun.

To remove the forearm wood/iron from the barrels my newer Superposed has a screw hidden under the latch.

Try that thanks

On that one, the forearm does not come off the gun like a "standard" O/U. as was said, you have to remove a screw to take it off

Glad we got a confirmation on that...

For a new superposed owner it can seem odd how the forearm is removed. Rather than try to explain it, I recommend looking up a YouTube video on the proper way to disassemble. There are several good ones out there from arts gun shop.
