I acquired a .44 mag somewhat unexpectedly from an uncle a few months ago and I have everything I need to reload except for some cases. I can’t find any new ammo anywhere, of course, and I can’t find any cases.
I ordered some Starline .223 brass a couple of weeks ago when they were showing it on backorder and received it in about ten days. They're showing .44 Special available on backorder right now...could be a viable opportunity.

Personally, I'd hold out for .44 Magnum brass, but ypu could make do with the .44 Special.
Star line is taking back orders for 44 special. No idea how long it will take to get the brass. 44mag no go.
Says in stock? But expensive.

If found, buy a box of factory .44s.
Ammoseek.com shows various sellers at $50.00/50 and up for factory ammo. Good luck, Jerry
I have some multi fired .44 magnum up in the loft, do not know how many or the headstamp, if you are interested pm me and I'll go look.

The WW 44 mag is available for $49.15 and in stock.
this got me to thinking, and I dug through my boxes of stuff. Found two 100 round bags of new WW .44 Mag and 650 mixed, once fired .44 Mag. I need to get to work and load some.
I've seen new bags of Winchester 44 mag brass at a couple of Fleet Farm stores around Minneapolis/St Paul since this past New Years as well as before. I picked up two bags for a brother in law just before Christmas. I don't recall the price but I thought it expensive but then everything shooting related is expensive these days.
Nope…somebody accused them both of being “.429s” instead of .44s, and it shamed everybody. Get a .41…
Got a chitload of .429's for my 44 mag and special.

I see 44 mag & special brass in stock at Starline. Even if it shows no stock, if they allow back order, go with that.

Last Spring they had 7.62x39 as ‘no stock’, but allowed back order. I did the back order, two days later got a tracking number, then the brass.
According to the CS rep at Starline, future production date of currently back ordered brass - is any one's guess.
I've had QTY #500 .480 Ruger brass back ordered since May 2021.
Just prior to that, I backordered QTY #500 .45 Colt brass, & it showed up a couple of weeks later.
Go figure...
I just ordered 1000 starline 44 mag the other day along with 1000 10mm. Both said they were backordered but I got FedEx tracking from them 2 days later that something shipped. I don't know if it was 1 or both but I'll know Friday.

I just had 500 44 mag cases show up today from Starline. They were back-ordered just a few days ago.
It shows starline is accepting backorders again on it, in my experience back order with them usually means less then 2 weeks out n
