last week I checked with Starline and they said that .357 brass was on back order. I jumped on it, and a box of 500 showed up today. I did not really NEED 500, but no one else I looked at had the bags of 100. Could not find brass from any other maker either. At least I can stop reloading those tired old cases I cleaned recently.

Good move.

Better to have too many or much of a component, than not.

Hate looking for stuff.
I just got 2 100 case bags from Precision Reloading that showed up day before yesterday. I couldn't find it anywhere else either! $22.08 a hundred. Also got 2 bags (of 100) 350 Legend brass but it was $35.76 a bag. This addiction is getting expensive!
Liking Precision Reloading more and more. Found stuff there I couldn't get elsewhere.
direct from Starline mine ran .20 each with free shipping. I have always bought them by the 100 count bag but just could not find any.
I ordered 500 of the 357 magnum which showed as backordered
Wednesday. Got notified today that it shipped WOW.
Great company
I like Starline A LOT!
Just got a bunch myself. I can't remember ever ordering less than a 500/cs lot from them. After the wasteland that was finding 38 WCF with out resorting to resizing 44WCF throughout my misspent youth, Starline is my first and usually last stop for brass.
FWIW, Starline is shipping .357 Maximum brass now too.
I now have what should be a life time supply of any brass I reload for.... mostly Starline and probably 1/2 of that through back orders. Almost all back orders shipped within a week. .45 Auto Rim took just over a year though and I'm still waiting on .222 after a year and a half.

I'm probably on at least a few watchlists due to the amount of time online searching for reloading components though....
I, too, have been happy with Starline as a company. Glad to hear a few more components are becoming available.
recently bought some Starline brass

10mm

cheaper & new than all the used & 1X'd sites

$117 shipped for 500 pcs

That damm Springfield XD-M Elite really sends out the fired cases
I trained my Gold Cup to drop its brass neatly back in the box. Took some sweet talking and a promise of some new Unique powder but it finally listens. Now if I could just train my GF with the promise of fresh Unique the world would be a happier place.
It has to be a nice business model to have your product largely presold before you start a new production run.
Starline is good stuff. Only backorder I had to wait a while on was the .444 Marlin. That took about 9 months.
Great brass. They have not made several calibers for quite some time though
I got 1000 357 cases from them last year. I didn't need 1000 perse, but I don't want to have to go through another shortage again in the future when I can deal with it now. If they would just make some 480 brass, I've been on backorder over a year...
They just shipped a .222 back order that I placed 2 years ago.... Normally when they say "available for back order" it will mean a < 2 week wait. They were apologetic when I called to reauthorize payment.

The only other long wait I have had was about a year for .45 Auto Rim brass.
