For salt water fishing for specks with an open face spinning reel.?
Diawa Samurai is extremely smooth , you will pay dearly for that though.
I like braid from Jerry Brown Industries - 541-855-7127.
Darn. So complicated- or expensive. Thanks guys
I prefer the Jerry Brown Line 1......haven't tried em all but I sure prefer JB over that green loosely woven stuff.
Vern you should check out the samurai it thin and silky smooth nothing like power pro and smoother than JB. Great for inshore work been using it for a couple of years now.
W, do you also use it on bait casting reels with good success?
I've gone to Daiwa Saltiga boat braid on my saltwater reels. Much better quality than power pro, tuff braid etc. Not really that much more expensive.
Yes I use it on small bait casters (large mouth stuff) while fishing for the small striped bass with plugs in the early spring. But I also use it for fish in the 40-50 lb class as well on conventional boat reels . What are you looking to do with it?
Lure or croaker fish for speckled trout and maybe bait cast bass.
