The first buyer needed to back out because of a family issue, so this Savage 99 rifle is up for grabs again!! OK... So here's the scoop on the rifle: Selling price: $600.oo, with FREE continental United States shipping. This rifle is posted for auction on Gun Broker. There are 14 pictures of this rifle posted below. Here is a link to the auction: JUST CLICK ON ME.......... The barrel is 24". This rifle is a 1953 99EG in .300 sav. All original! The case color on the lever is visible but a bit weak, but much better on the unexposed areas. The magazine rotor is also FACTORY "case color hardened" which is quite rare on its own! I do not like to give percentages because everyone has a different opinion, but I will try. This is my opinion: I do not believe that this rifle has seen much use. The lever has NO droop at all, and the action locks up as if it is still new. I can say this because I have owned a total of 23 Savage 99's in the past including a few that were unfired. The rifling is equivalent to being minimally fired. I stated in the auction the word "good" because everyone's opinion is different, and I do not want a buyer to have any surprises. My opinion is that the bore is very good to excellent. This rifle seems to have been carried much more that it had been fired. Period and correct sling studs. The blue on the barrel is 98% with some carry marks. The receiver blue is 90+% again with some carry marks and slight wear on the bottom of the receiver from carrying. The wood is 100% crack free from my inspection. This is a very solid rifle. The scope and rings are "brand new". I hope that this answers all of your questions. If not, please feel free to contact me. And YES, the $600.oo price including shipping that is initially stated in this posting stands for forum members who click the "Buy It Now" from the auction site. (No California sales, $20.00 shipping for Alaska and Hawaii). Thanks for your interest, Mike...

Dear sirs, I had a question on this savage rifle, I was wondering if you could you please look under the butt plate and see if there is a name and lic. # carved or marked?? I am looking for a rifle that I inherited from my grandfather and was sold by a family member without my knowledge, I would really love to buy the rifle back if I can find it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You ! Greg Patrick
