France

Just want to present to people on this forum the work of two greats artists in rifle from Perpignan, town from the south of France, close to Mediterranean sea and Spain border. Joel Dorleac and his son Jean Philippe are two extraordinary gunsmiths that can do any thing but only with good taste and class. They specialise in technical light weight mountain rifles and wonderful classic hunting rifles, british or continental taste. Joel is one of the world most renowned specialist on Mannlicher Schoenauer. Here are some of their works...Hope you will enjoy.

Yes really a good friend, who makes me a nice 700, light and powerful, with match accuracy and prepared my 264 Winchester 70. A must seen shop when touring in south of France or in Barcelona (1h and 30mn drive)

World class work.

Elegant and tasteful don't begin to describe how good they are.

I like the way the action was lightened while still looking classic and refined in style.

Thanks for going to the trouble of posting the pics...not many in the states consider France as a place where classic rifle work would come from...glad you showed us it can indeed!

Really classy looking rifles.

How many have they made?
Can you find used ones, like you can from the top makers here in America?
