FYI, those shot 1/2" at 200 yds in a 700 Varmint I had.....using Varget - and did it more than once.......

For hides they might be ok, because I'd bet they would stay inside the dog. But it may well make Fur FLY! Lol.
Just on the impact side..........just depends if folks are saving hides or just eliminating pests. One could drop back to say 3k speed and still very very effective.
