A little duplication as these are down in the photography realm as well. Thought they might get a bit more attention here.

Cookie went after some mid-summer elk and scored a few. Unexpectedly did better on the bulls than the cows and kids.

Caught up with a group of about a dozen bulls on an extremely wet rainy day, but could not fit them all in.

Still a couple months of growth left for those antlers.

She was using her Canon EOS 70 D and a Canon 500 mm lens.

Have a good one,

Cool,

Saw a herd coming into Long Creek OR from the south a week or so back, didn't see any kids, might have been laying in the grass.

Love your wife's pics.

Not to hijack, but I lost track I think, how did you folks make out with the truck? If you posted about it, put up a link for me to follow.

Thanks again for putting up the pics,

Geno

Valsdad:
Thanks for the comments. Cookie puts in a lot of time, but every day or so a real jewel pops up.

Our truck just went in for repairs today. The adjuster could not see totaling a rig that had every body panel and the grill intact. Took some time for the shop to get all the parts and a new bumper in. Saw the bumper in the back of a rig coming into town this morning, and it's a bit heavier than the original. Seemed to be an extended process, but we're happy with the out come. Insurance also came through for a camera and Coleman stove that were damaged.

Only downside is I was hoping to complete this year's firewood cutting before the heat turned on. Looks like the delay has pretty much toasted that idea.

all in all, not a bad outcome. Cookie is probably happy about the camera.

I'll be coming thru Burns/Hines on 395 on Thursday but won't have time to stop. On the way back up either. Busy moving stuff south for retirement from WA. Perhaps on my final trip down around the 30th we can meet for a coffee? I'll send you a PM if it looks like I'll have time. Or I'll be in the Alturas area so not too far for a day trip up your way for some sightseeing.

Thanks again for sharing you wife's pics.

Great photo's just don't post any maps or distinctive geography.
