They closed the lead for a R, from 20+ points down to 2points.. in a district thats been R for 20+ years.
Next year, 2018, they are up for election again.

It was a Special Election, BONEHEAD, where Trump won by 1% point. The R was a mediocre candidate and the democrats communist traitors put a record amount of money into it. The Rs are 4/4 in WINNING, but I see you've been reading your democrat talking point again, Walt.

The Handel/Ossoff split was about the same as the Trump/Hillary split.
This would not normally be so for a special election.
However, the DEMs made it more than that and so the turnout was more than they expected.
IMHO, unless the DEMs quit focus grouping, polling, and wondering how they can shave a half a point from this or that special interest group, and start peddling something that the American people actually want or believe in they will continue to lose............... personally I'm good with them never figuring this out!

Karen Handel will have a safe seat in Ga's 6th as long as she wants. She is competent, level headed, non controversial. She has won elections countywide and Statewide, as well as now her OWN District. Gerrymandering will be the only way to get her out and the GOP controls the State house. You have a Special election where YOUR Dems set records spending on the campaign. Ossoff outspent Handle 70 -1 AND COULDN'T WIN! The Dems were all in, 100% motivated to steal a GOP seat and THEY COULDN'T WIN! lf the Dems couldn't pick up this seat with a historic blitz of spending and media, they are doomed! You better get used to it. Your candidate sucked and your Party's platform of Open borders, Nanny State regulations, PC environmentalism, anti-gun, BLM, and making such asinine causes as LBGT bathrooms a Cause Célébre might play in NYC or Boston, or Hollyweird, but aren't what plays in America that works and raises kids.
