I had a reamer ground with zero freebore, and it shoot the 120 and 140g tipped tripple shocks into tiny little groups. So the OP knows, the 140g Tipped tripple shock will out penetrate any 175g cup and core bullet. Pac Nor did my work and their barrels are fantastic, mine was a three groove 11 Twist for shooting up to 150g Nosler's.
ON deer, I have shot more of the 140g Nosler Combined technology bullets than anything else, 3550 fps, and deer never take a step at 550 yards(distance of our food plot). We have never had a failure with them, never.
We have had 3 rifles built on this reamer, two SS 7 Mag sendero barrels set back, and one Pac Nor 11 twist, 26" with the 140's at 3650.
My first zero freebore reamer went to my cousins in Missouri, they are still shooting the old Nosler 120g Solid base at 3800 fps in about 6 different rifles, 500 yards is long range.
Anyone going this route, should consider the OAL and mag box length and have your own reamer ground with zero to .020 freebore. You may have to deal with doughnuts somewhere down the line, but we have not. You do not fill the case full of powder- so keep that in mind.
Also, when the barrel is being chambered, have the gunsmith mill the action for fitting a Wyatt's magazine box that will give you another .125 in length.
