Has anyone seen one of these for sale? I missed the SHOT show introduction in 2017. I would like to acquire one of these (along with a few thousand RVN vets who had one in 1969.

I just want an upper for a carbine build. Ok. I'll take a bolt carrier group too.

I like the "old school" cool look.

Didn't they want high dollar for the new ones.

There's been lots of improvements since the M16A1 was issued.

I'll leave those to the "traditionalists", and keep my optics ready versions... smile

I had an sp1 once upon a time, along with one of the first mini 14's. I paid $335 for the new Colt and $135 for the new mini14. I shot a bunch of jackrabbits with both of them outside of Reno. I sold the mini and kept the Colt after using them for a while. I will say the mini is an excellent $135-$150 gun

All of the pictures I have seen have one very glaring mistake. It's black. The rifle they're selling has a full fence lower and a 3 prong flash hider, so that's a transitional 603, and the receiver and barrel should be gray, not black.

Other than that, they look really nice, but they are very pricey. I think for that price, I might prefer to buy an original SP1.

I personally very much liked the A1, kinda liked the A1 over the A2. The A2's trigger group ruined the trigger and took away full auto. The heavier barrel and furniture took away one of the greatest assets the M16 ever had, light weight. For it's day, the A1 (one they worked out the bugs; was an excellent weapon.
