I am specifically looking at the Trijicon AccuPoint TR20-1G, 3x9x40 with green illuminated dot. On sale for just under $600. Been curious about these scopes for years wondering what the glass quality is like, low light transmission, how fog and rain proof, coatings etc....

Wondering if I want to try it or stick with a Swaro Z3. Any input from folks that use or have used on would be appreciated.

Had one for several years, no complaints at all. Seems to track well and hold zero, optics seem on par with Leopold VX3 type scopes.

I have three Trijicons and I have no complaints. I really like the green dot/triangle as we are not limited to hunting hours.

I have both, T has a green dot duplex and the S a 4A. Not much difference in clarity or fit, but the biggest difference is the T will have to have service at some point when the nite site dies.

The T is great for dark and shady areas, and against dark targets like bears and moose. The S is simply an excellent all around optic with less chance of ever needing service or repair.

Each has its merits, both are excellent set and forget hunting scopes.

I have a 3-9 with green dot on a Tikka .243 that I use primarily for coyotes. Glass is clear and have not experienced zero changes and it seems to be stout. It has held up through many miles of Jeep rides over rough terrain. I do like the green dot better than the triangle post, I also have a 1-4 mounted on a AR with the red post.

I have a 2.5-10x56. I love it and my nephew loves it since he is always borrowing it and the rifle its on.

I swear at one point I read on here that they were using meopta glass for the accupoints (I believe even JB allowed this) but most of the recent accounts suggest LOW for the glass. Hopefully JB or koshkin can weigh in.

Have 3, very clear, no issues. I favor the red but had a green in the past, illumination still good after several years. Being used to crosshairs I have to concentrate a little more to focus on the post even though its illuminated, but that's just me.

With the accupoints, even a dead tritium vial doesn’t stop the fiber from working well in all but pitch black....plus that’s 10-15 years or so, of always on when you need it and not sweating batteries and switches.

I’ve got one also. Great low light scope.

I owned a 3-9x and 1-4x years ago. The glass quality was disappointing, blurry edges, and windage/elevation knobs seemed to be made of flexible plastic that I thought I’d break if I didn’t leave the caps on them. Cheap scopes, on par with maybe VX2.

Trijicon ACOGs are an entirely different animal. Amazing glass.

I’ve seen some fake accupoints that had those qualities. None of my actual Trijicon versions do.

JB had one I believe. No word on why he doesn't now.

I peeked through one on a range buddy's AR some years back. It was the triangle model. Seemed nice at the time, though I'm a crosshair/duplex/dot guy at heart. They're on my list of maybe-someday stuff.

The triangle is up there as possibly the fastest scope reticle I’ve used, and I’ve shot game past 200 with it, and steel past 300 @4x. German #1 and that triangle are speed and low light masters, IMO. Not sure I’d want it on a scope that went past 6x, but it’d probably work just fine since it’s SFP.
