New brass in .22-250 is not available anywhere. Anyone know why?

It's an antique. Demand dictates production, and it isn't in as big demand as the new Creedmoor based cases. I have one and a 257 Roberts. Neither are easy to find brass for.

I have plenty of it... but since the 22 Creedmoor is based off a a 250 Savage case

have your tried to reform 22 Creedmoor or 6 Creedmoor down with a 22.250 body die?

Just a suggestion, but that is what I'd try first.. but then I've already got a 22.250 body die...

but still if you had to buy one, its still a lot cheaper than buying a bag of 50 rounds of 22.250 brass...at least last time I looked.

It’s available - as loaded ammunition. Priorities are: Government contracts, general public, reloaders. And the 22-250 isn’t as popular as it used to be. Gallensons gun shop in SLC had a whole bunch of Winchester HS brass when I was there last. It’s been about a month since then. You might call them and see if they still have it and are willing to ship.

the 22-250 has also become popular in fast twist for heavy bullets. Tikka ex. in MDT and KRG chassis stocks. Great with Superformance.

Do you need some? I have a little bit, 2 bags of new (blue bag) WW and 1 box of new Lapua. I picked it up a few years ago planning to buy/build another .22-250 but I have a .204 and a .243 that shoot very well so I don't think I'll build the .22-250 after all.

Much of it has been stashed away, never to be used by anyone.

I had no problem finding 22-250 brass last fall. I bought some Lapua and Norma, Lapua has since discontinued 22-250 brass but just about every other manufacturer still makes it but are just busy making more popular items right now. My LGS has Hornady in stock

I saw Hornady the other day, it was like $44/bag.. I use Lapua, Hornady, older R-P, and Sig Sauer 22-250 brass. It's all good, for the most part. OP, keep an eye out for Hornady to be on the shelves, somewhere in your area.
