Doc: A good friend of mine has used one on several safaris. Likes it very much. Personally, I think I would go with the Model 70s you've been looking at (and the new ones are fine BTW). My 70 is one from 1992 that I've used on two safaris. Nothing wrong with the Caprivi though, other than it costs considerably more. J
