I used to hunt about 25 or 30 days a year on a swamp on the Eastern shore of Maryland( famous mosquito problem area) and used to treat my clothes with permethrin. Worked great at mosquito control and even helped with horse flies, but by the end of the season I always had flu like symptoms and was fatigued..... Never knew what caused it til I moved out west and thought about it.... I do not believe it is safe for long term use. just my experience and not based on any studies or scientific data....
Would not put on anything a dog gets near.....
