If you like harbor freight calipers you will never appreciate the good stuff. My favorite dial caliper is a Brown & Sharpe- Swiss made and feels like it. I have Starrett, Craftsman, SPI, Mitutoyo and Fowler. The Brown & Sharpe are cream of the crop. I have played with a few of the $20 calipers and they are gritty, hard to zero and sometimes skip. I have a few sets of Helios calipers but my eyes can't read them anymore!
