One of my BFFs is a Norwegian bachelor farmer who loves all things Norwegian and Swedish. He has several of the Husqvarna bolt action single shot rifles in 25-20, 32-20, 30-30, and 45-70 that I have handled, but not shot. They are very light and while the stock ergs don't work well for me, I think that it would be an excellent woods loafing rifle for a guy who they fit.

When I lived in New Hampshire, my favorite woods loafing rifle was a Savage 24 in 22 Magnum over 410 mounted with a Bushnell 4x20. In Colorado, Nebraska, and South Dakota, I'm much more likely to be carrying a Savage 63M, or a shortened 65M, and a Rossi 515 on my hip.
