We are building a home and the appliance package we chose is Kitchen Aid. We currently use a Kitchen Aid dishwasher. It is extremely quiet. Interestingly, the top rack can raise and lower in order to accommodate taller items. It has a 3rd rack on top for silverware.
We did discover something that is inherent in all new dishwashers (I'm told) and that is you want to use a product called "jet dry" in order to ensure your dishes come out completely dry. There is a compartment in the door that holds enough liquid for a week or so of use. It's a blue liquid and ensures your dishes come out dry. We are told it is a function of the new "energy efficient" dishwashers...
whatever it is, when we don't use it, we have to dry items that should already be dry. When we use it, we don't.

There are 2 rules to success:

1. Never tell everything that you know.
