this sure is the heyday for 1911's a cheap one now seems to run better out of the box than the Colts of around the 70's....been reading alot of handgun books while babysitting contractors the last few weeks and and pretty much across the board most didnt bother to even shoot their NIB Colt before shipping it off for reliability work.....gotta love good management(Colt was owned by several conglomerants during that period that just viewed it as a cash cow and put minimal money into it other than the military contracts) coupled with CNC machining grin
