The United Nations doesn't have the first clue how many people there are in Africa. They rely on figures provided by African governments who themselves have no clue how many people there are in their countries.


The UN is just setting the table here with their inflated numbers for the next marketing campaign (money grab) to send into the bottomless sink hole of a continent.


Actually, the numbers are intentionally deflated. We'll be well past 10B before 2035 and if we stay under 12B by 2050, it'll be due to a miracle, massive warfare, or a pandemic.
