I thought the same exact things. Good eye Mike.. I will also add that the receiver looks a little off too and the butt plate looks to have been re-blued/touched up. The rear sight definitely caught my eye, as I'm sure it is not original to the rifle. Like mike said, the 22G was used on the low combs from 1936-1953. This SG should have came with a Lyman 16B. However, I'm still holding on to the belief that it will sell for somewhere around $5,500.00.
