Exactly what she was doing and who she was meeting would be interesting to know. In any event I would expect $10,000 is peanuts to her and her handlers and that they would have happily paid it to avoid this publicity from happening.

Why they did not probably ties in to not wanting to leave an official paper trail of where Abedin went and when.

It would also be interesting to know the nature of the "marriage" between her and Weiner, and why this marriage was contracted.
