I was browsing in Bass Pro, Birmingham the other day. Clerk showed me a DPMS Oracle. Regular price is around $600, so it's not a hand assembled target shooter or prairie dog rifle.
They had it on sale for $529.00. Took off another 10% because I have a Bass Pro account. Add in the tax, and I walked out with the little carbine for $524.69.
Ordered a Vortex Sparc II, and a set of MagPul BUIS.
This will be a present to my Son in Law. For the past three years, he has had my AR180B on loan, for a home defense rifle. Now I'll get that back.
