I bought a very similar 1985, first new vehicle I ever owned. The photo is about 20 years old, my son is now 26. It was a reliable vehicle, but came with 3.07 gearing. I made the mistake of putting 31/10.5/15 tires on it and it was WEEEEAAAK. It was tolerable with P/235/75/15's which I should have stayed with. I got about 140,000 and 10 years out of it and traded for a new 1996. Took this photo just before trading.

The short beds in 4X4 only had dual tanks for 1 year, 1986 I believe. They were standard on all 4X2's and even long bed 4X4's. But are rare on 4X4 short beds.

For $600 in that condition you did good.

Most people don't really want the truth.

They just want constant reassurance that what they believe is the truth.
