I'm with winpoor, I don't care for the old 7mm rem mag either. However, I made my longest shot on a buck with one a couple years back... Ranged with angle comp on at 648 yards. . They can be very accurate, but I saw my widest velocity fluctuations and poor SD's and extreme spreads with it.
7mm Rem Mags on Model 70's are 7mm Mashburn Supers SCREAMING to come out! It was so easy even a Marine could do it! Ha.
