2 of us just got back from a 3 day pack trip to some lakes about 5 miles back. Apparently we set up camp in the living room of this yearling mulie doe and she declined to vacate. She hung around for the entire time we were there and sometimes she'd get as close as 5 yards from us. She looks undersized and too thin considering the good feed up there this year. She's starting to shed and her winter coat looks too sparse, too. If we get a hard winter, I have to wonder if she'll make it.

For the not-so-close, there were 8 goats hanging around on the ridge above us. This shot is enlarged MANY times. I took it from a good 1/2 miles away. These would be a cake walk to get to but there's no season on them in this area.

The last shot is God's backyard rock garden.
