I picked up a couple old KA-BAR and CASE knives recently that need refinishing. One thing I'd like to do is bring the natural leather color back to the handles if possible but on the old case the leather looks dark chocolate. I'm sure it's from oil in the hands and God knows what else. Any suggestions on what would draw that oil out? I was thinking Dawn, but any tried and true suggestion would be welcome.
