rattlesnakes can be very area dependent.....one spot they can be thick but a similar looking piece of ground a short ways away can have nearly none.....so unless someone knows the specific chunk of ground your looking to hunt its hard to say.....for instance around where i am at they are fairly common on the southside of the Missouri but extremely rare to the point of nearly nonexistent on the northside.....30 miles down the road they are common on both sides....
