The 124 FWB has a synthetic piston seal. The early seals decayed and had short lives. I hear Paul Watts does fine work so I would try,.. Ah heck, beg him to tune yours, lol.
The 124 is a fine piece of machinery and worth whatever you have to pay for a good tune job. I think I've had 3 or 4 of them. The Deluxe version is really nice. The modern replacement piston seals last much longer.
