Have done it both ways. The camel bone is very dense so doesn't seem to benefit that much from stabilizing from what I've seen so far. The dying process is extremely colorfast so no real benefit there so I'm still playing with that aspect a bit. I've jigged a bunch of sets of bone but haven't done one of these yet. Will likely be doing a set soon.
