A big action requires a big round. I'd go 358 Norma or 8mm RM.
I made my Winchester '17 into a 375 H&H AI. I have to finish the wood yet - gimme 2 more years and it will be done.
I flopped my bolt handle forward. I LIKE the dogleg, but I like it the other way on a heavy recoiler.
