FWIW around here I have been told red heelers run more protective of their owners and more hostile to strangers than blue heelers.
I dunno the truth of it, especially since IIRC both can come out of the same litter.
And my oldest (the dog in my avatar) is starting to look quite a bit like that photo of Ol' Ringo. I'm grateful for every year she's still with us.
