We stayed in Volpaia and drove the back road to Panzano one Sunday morning around 9:00 a.m.
We saw several wild boar and a few deer.
We passed a large kennel that hunters use to keep their dogs.
On another occasion late in the evening we saw several deer on the edge of the vineyard.
I asked about hunting and didn't find out a whole lot.
We were 12 or so miles from Chianti and Grieve.
Going back next year for 3 weeks in Northern Italy and Volpaia.
