I managed to find a phone number for the builder and left a message.
Folks are saying he's in his 70's or 80's.
I found the serial number stamped on the hammer, trigger and block face, all matching.
Hopefully that's a sign he kept records and can provide me some initial history.
I did a quick check for twist and its 21 ish.
Haven't slugged it yet.
