Good to know. The GF is the one who shoots deer with the .223. Not sure if she is familiar with deer anatomy well enough to go with shoulder shots.

Just about lost a buck on Thanksgiving day. She hit it through the back half of the lungs. Took a pretty good while to find the buck. There was a hole through the lungs, and that is about all I can say for damage. None of the "red soup" or lightning kills that everyone talks about on here.
