One 9mm that has caught my eye on the lower end of the high end shooters is the Walther PPQ M2. I shot a buddies and was very impressed with the trigger quality and accuracy out of the box.

I've noticed that a lot of the competition shooters are shooting CZ75 framesd with some custom goodies. It might be fun, if you are so inclined, to build up a shooter based on that frame.
