I was out shooting with some friends yesterday and finally got around to sighting in my 336 with Williams Receiver sight. I had read here and elsewhere that with new receiver sights that a taller front bead may be necessary. I was satisfied with the grouping (below pic). In fact I was ecstatic!

However it was about a foot high. In the below pic I was aiming at the center of the two calendars on the bottom target. Yes calendars work well and I'm a cheap redneck!! Specifically where the nail hole is and the group is by the word "April" in the top right target.

I figured I would need to be able to lower POI but wasn't prepared for how much. I searched aftermarket sights and Skinner sights kept popping up. Anyone have experience with them? Any suggestions on different brands? How high should I go?
