FWIW, my stepson used my .300 Win Mag loaded with 200-grain ABs to shoot an average desert mule deer buck at about 85-90 yards back in November. The deer pretty much died instantly but there was more bloodshot meat around the entry and exit wounds than I like to see. They work great on elk, though...
