The ammo belt with two boxes of cartridges went along with the hunting knife with a 12" blade back in the day. I have my grandfather's stag handled Kabar purchased sometime in the early 1920's, it looks as good as it did when he bought it. The sheath on the other hand long ago fell apart. not made nearly as well as the knife. Grandpa's other knife a jigged horn handled Remington UMC two bladed muskrat while in nice condition for a knife that is 80 + years old certainly shows that is was used much more than the Kabar.
