I hadn't looked at Armytek before. I just looked at their site. They've got three models of the wizard, and the photos show a textured, kind of pebbled lens cover. Not clear, like the Zebralight H600w Mk II.
"TIR optics with light angles 70°:120° for wide light without a “tunnel vision” effect"
Looks like scotch tape might be a little redundant on your light.
Interesting, though. I'll look into that a little further.
