This rifle was assembled and put together with factory parts; hence the term Frankenbuild. I have no clue of builder. The rifle does look good and feels solid.

action: Rem 700 LA BDL SN: 1734 (4 digit serial #) , April 1962 first month or two of production. I've seen lots of Rem 700's and this is the oldest one I've ever come across. Desirable older adjustable trigger, flat safety, drilled & tapped for side mount Williams peep sight, action slotted for stripper clip, short bolt shroud and smaller contoured bolt handle. Was probably chambered in 30-06 so the military enthusiast could use the stripper clip slot and rear peep site. Includes 20MOA picatinny scope rail. .250" heavy recoil lug.

stock: HS Precision that has been either re-painted or came from factory this dark green color. Very nice condition.

Barrel: factory Sendero take-off in 25-06 that was fit to this action. Barrel is 25" long and threads likely setback during re-chamber job. The Remington stamped info and 25-06 do not line up properly since barrel set back. Barreled action was cerakoted in desert sand ?? color. Barrel and action have a few nicks, rubs, and chips in the paint and could easily be re-finished to your color of choice or just shoot it as-is. Purely cosmetic and does not affect accuracy.

So basically it's a 25-06 Sendero with a 1962 older action, and cosmetic paint job.

I bought this rifle for the action since it's highly desirable for those wanting to do Vietnam era re-builds. Selling to recoup my $$$ and invest in a new custom rifle. I have not shot the rifle but barrel is smooth when passing a patch. Since it's a Sendero 25-06 take-off, I would believe it's a shooter. Bolt is very smooth and trigger set around 2 lbs. with no creep.

will include "like new" reloading dies and 50 pcs of new brass to seller for additional $40. $949 shipped to your FFL dealer (CONUS) and buyer responsible for insurance (around $15)

not interested in any trades , USPS MO works for me
