Well,.. borrrring and is rarely mentioned on this section of the Campfire. so let me tell ya about a GREAT time I had with some homedistiller friends at a get together we had at a pards home in Morgantown, WV a week ago.

About 30 folks were in attendance from all over the map with guys and their wives from Rhode Island, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Michigan, California, Georgia and a hilarious husband and wife that flew in from Australia. Those folks from down under are a riot !!!!

Unfortunately he wasn't able to get his spirits out of the country but did bring some Bundaberg Rum AKA "Bundy". Pretty good stuff.

Single malts, bourbons, rye whiskeys as well some mighty fine 'shine was proudly displayed and drank but for the second year in a row Hangarnian Palinka stole the show. DAMN that stuff is good.

I had planned on making some but the Black Walnut trees in our area aren't producing this year.

This is also known as Nocino and can be made at home easily but is much more rewarding when made from a neutral spirit of your own creation.

I brought a half a gallon of my version of a 110 proof honey/nutmeg apple pie moonshine and not a drop remained at the end of the festivities.
Did I mention the brined pork butts and the BEST potato salad that I have ever tasted courtesy of our fantastic hostess.

A great time was had by all.
