A4s suck IMO. But that is why they make more than one model.
I would decide on what barreled action and weight you want first, then choose stock accordingly.
For heavy guns, I like a A3 or A3-5 for Rem varmint contour, depending on usage.
For #7 barrel or heavier, maybe sometimes Palma contour, A5.......
