My understanding is the issue with broken piston springs was remedied a while back so if you get a newer shotgun it shouldn't be an issue.

I personally would not own an A5 for duck and geese. It is an inertia gun and I found the recoil harsh compared to the SX-3 and Maxus, which I own.
